MTNL Mumbai First time: MTNL Throttling torrents to 1 Mbps

Problem for me has mostly gone today.

Instead of 100kbps - right now I am getting about 600kbps.

Although not full 1mbps but still bit acceptable.

It's better since late evening. Torrents once reaching 950 kBps on downloads.

i just tried some torrents and they dont work anymore- trackers are being blocked. used PIA and everything is just fine.
^ btw which server do you connect to on PIA and what do you get on speedtests?

^^ Singapore is fastest with 160 ms google pings.

But today the problem is 100% fixed on 120.62.XX.XX range.
Torrents are hitting 950 kBps within 30 seconds of starting. Maxing out my 8 Mbps connection.

Maybe it was a temporary blocking of p2p protocol to mitigate cable cut problem. They throttled torrents for home users on 120.62 range because they are considered to be the most heavy downloaders.

Just a theory.
