On a slightly different note, flipkart seems to have stopped processing return/replacement for defective phones/tablets (probably other things too, can't confirm) and instead redirects to visit brand service center, don't know how easy (difficult) would it be to override it through mails/calls
Yeah. Service centers are never going to acknowledge issues unless they are pretty major. I had no luck getting them to even notice the display screen issue last year. And the wi-fi throttling issue is even harder to showcase at their service center.
Maybe it's time Indian government learns from European countries and have regulations in place for consumer protection. Make it mandatory for all sales outlet to accept returns and refunds for electronics for a specific duration. If these companies can handle returns and replacements in Europe, they can do it here as well.
