Flipkart shuts down its grocery delivery service Nearby

Flipkart’s staement:
‘Flipkart Nearby’ was a piloted in select areas of Bangalore. The experiment was a test for understanding efficiencies and operations of the hyper local business. The project has now run its course and the learnings from this pilot will now be used for future operations of the company.

Wow. Flipkart really needs to stop launching new services if they can't maintain them. Ebooks gone. Music gone. Nearby gone. What next?

They had money to blow. So they did. You never know when some of these ventures might strike gold. Now that investors are asking for returns, they are tightening their purse strings

Flipkart and Amazon should consider acquiring an established existing player like Grofers or Peppertap. This is why they exist. Starting something from scratch is basically telling startups... The effort is futile
