Test SIM. No data plan. If I switch on data, other stuff on phone eats balance, so, can't really determine if its free

Sync takes care of apps listed in the Android's Setting menu. So probably not.

Tried doing a speed test to exhaust balance. 0.08mbps on hspa+. Yay!
