I've given up on Airtel. Since the past 1 year I was promised that they'll upgrade to Fiber. Every month when I ask they say next month they'll lay down cables for Fiber. Wrote to everyone, posted on twitter, used multiple phone numbers to book interest in our area and then tell them that we'll take connection only if we are provided Fiber. I'm stuck with 40 Mbps connection with a technology that suffers from Bufferbloat.

No JIO in my area so the next thing would be go to ACT and try it out. Maybe I'll shift once they install Fiber in our locality.

Go for it, ACT has been good to many users. Although I'd suggest don't go for a big month on the first go.

Also lookout if there are any local ISPs, if you don't have a very demanding workload, they might do just the job you require. Reliability in my area is better for for local ISPs than big companies, probably because no one has a monopoly and no one wastes time in cutting each other's cables (yes we do with overhead wires).

Hathway gang is suprisingly kind here.

Yeah man. I told the guy I want a trial run of 1 month. He agreed to it. So gonna experience ACT for a month and see how it goes.

Hathway is horrible in our locality. We have a local guy here but he charges 500 for 5 Mbps. The only other ISPs servicable in my area is ACT, Airtel, and Hathway
