Nationwide yes, but region wise I don't think so. In TN, SUN channels rules. In Maharashtra, ZEE Marathi is No. 1, In Andhra I guess its ETV or TV9 and in Kerala its Asianet. And if analysed, it can be seen that all DTH operators irrespective their parent group try to have these channels.

I too wonder why this thread related to 'all' DTH and specifically GECs present in Tata Sky section :|

Once again Off Topic

Who said ETV or TV9 is No1 in Andhra Pradesh?
Both are news channels as of my knowledge.
In Andhra i think Zee Telugu and Maa rules.

Ok thanks for info.
I thought ETV & TV9 which are media groups from AP leads there.
I apologise for wrong information.

BTW if ZEE Telgu leads in AP, then that's reason may be Tata Sky was keen to get ZEE Telgu on board. Same thing could be with ZEE Kannada (?)

ZEE Telugu is popular in AP because it has rights for most of the hit telugu movies and it has good collection of movies, same can not be said for MAA. ETV and Gemini TV is popular because of its daily soaps.

but what is this thread still doing here? Is it anywhere related to TS only? Why ajuravi wants to just market this section?:O
