Hello guys,

I am currently subscribed to Kerala Vision's basic fiber connection, which costs Rs 500. I have been subscribed to this plan for almost 2 years, although on and off. My Wi-Fi router was provided by the Kerala Vision LCO when I got this connection. It's a Genexis Platinum 4411, which had been working perfectly fine until now.

My issue is that the LCO guy updated the firmware recently, and ever since then, my PC has not been able to connect to my home Wi-Fi. However, my PC is able to connect to other Wi-Fi hotspots, such as my mobile hotspot and other Wi-Fi routers. My motherboard supports 5GHz Wi-Fi and I have a dongle, so it's not a driver or software issue.

Currently, I tether the internet using my mobile to the PC via USB, but I get disconnected two or three times every 5 minutes. I called the LCO to complain, but he's an older guy with limited technical knowledge. He only knows how to set up the ISP connection when you purchase a router or get a plan from him.

I am fairly certain that it’s a firmware issue because I reset the router twice and had the LCO guy set up the ISP configuration on it. It’s not an OS or PC issue either, because I started encountering this problem when I was using Linux. I thought it might have been a Linux issue, so I installed Windows 10, but I still have no luck. Also, my Android phones drop the Wi-Fi connection randomly.

I hope you guys can help me figure out what's wrong.
