Get another new LL or WLL absolutely FREE from BSNL

I just gave the application yesterday.... i have to see what happens and how many days they take to provide connection...... then i will update.... i asked them to provide me WLL phone......

I got a rent free wll mobile. They say rent free, let us see what they conjures out of thin air at the end of the month. The mobile looks ancient. The one we use to have in 90s. But it is feature rich.

Can you please focus light on the conditions/eligibility for this scheme ?
Is your avg phone (EXCLUDING BROADBAND) billing >= Rs 500/- ?

checked out at a BSNL exchange near my house in hyderabad.was told the same - the call charges should be more thn Rs 500 on an average of last 6 months.Wouldn't have been a issue, but problem is the phone has so much disturbance that i make all calls thru my mobile :frown: and complaining doesnt help.

let me add more:i have the base landline for bb since 2005almost 20 months back (in 2007) bsnl on their own installed another landline (only incoming - rentfree) - no form filledin-no formalities asked for.am i now eligible for a rentfree onlyincoming wll orat least in exchange of the added landline !no one is able to guide in the exchange/csc!

I think we can make outgoing calls. But it will be treated as a new landline tariff.

i was informed that v hv to use the India call Card for making outgoing calls.
this is sulabh-ii type connection (without any rent and no bills also)
since no bills - no customer id - no isms (like normal basic phone)

The bsnl sdo and the com officer also refuse to give me first rent free wll connection.then i email to the c.m.d of bsnl.now the officer said u r eligibel to free wll phone.but again they said the cost of the wll handset is 900 pay by custmore.my 1 friend also have 1 wll rent free phone and 1 wll mobile phone in rent free secheme.they not pay any extra cost.the g.m of ludhiana told me that i give the letter to the department that if company want to recover the cost of the handset than i pay.i refuse to give the letter.they said the circular is not cleat.today i use right of information act and want to know that in which free rent free connections issue in Ludhiana telicom distt and in which wll telephone issue in Punjab telecom distt.now i wait for the repily from the department.

bsnl comercial officer first refuse to give me free wll phone against landline connection.then i write to the email to cmd bsnl...after that they told me u can pay the handset cost or u write the letter and authorise to the bsnl if the handset charges recover latter than u can pay.i refuse.after that i use right of information act to know in which wll handset give to the landline subscribers in Punjab state.when i received the answer of my r.t.i applycation then i meet g.m Ludhiana.he told me that cmd said the new handset is not provided this secheame.the g.m said c.m.d told me in amritsar when 3.g launch in amritsar that if u have old recover handsets in working condition then u can provide to the subscribers under this secheame.now i again use right of information act to know in which free wll new handset and in which old handset provide to the subscribers in ludhiana S.S.A ?2 IN Which connetion provide in 2009 under this secheame ?now i wait for answer of my applycation under the right of information act 2005.
