Getting around 15-20 mbps on wifi on excitel

Yes TP-Link 150 Mbps is the culprit. You should get a new router (invest in a dual band one)

Thanks for reply. Out of six devices in my home , only 1 can access dual band . So, getting dual band router is out of question . So, i'll be using lan for heavy downloads and wifi for streaming .

in any case, you should consider getting a better quality router that connects to the excitel ethernet cable. even on a basic model like mi router 3c, you should get proper speeds in near vicinity.

yup, wired is the best way to enjoy fast internet speeds. my primary machine is connected through ethernet and i have rarely faced any slowdown issues on excitel.
