Hey eatpepsi,
Get a 200Mbps connection with the 1g onu for a month and then change your plan after one month to whatever plan you actually want. I was in the same situation as you and I got my 400Mbps plan canceled (received the refund amount also promptly)... Booked and activated 1 month 200mbps plan so that I could use the 1g onu... After a month I changed my plan to 400Mbps 1 year validity..

Ok @varunc24 i will give it a try..

1. How long does it take for the amount to be refunded ?
2. Did you pay the 1000 rupees for the onu ?

If I remember correctly the excitel person told me within 24-48hrs of cancelling the old plan it should be refunded as they had not activated the connection.
I did get back the amount in the promised time after they cancelled my connection request. Basically they cancelled the connection request saying not feasible and created a new connection request for 200 Mbps plan for me to get 1g onu.

They had told me 1000 is a refundable security deposit for the 1g onu they provided.

They were just launching in my area with an existing lco when I booked the connection , so I got good response and experience with them when I requested for a onu instead of a WiFi router... Connection is stable and I have had only 1 downtime.. since it was activated last year in September.

Speed is stable. I don't use it as a standalone. I have a load balancing router so it works in active active mode along with my ACT broadband primary connection.

@varunc24 thanks for the reply, I am also planning to use it in dual wan, load balancing or fail-safe, can you tell me which router do you use for that?
