Just had a call with Railwire Kerala out of curiosity. It's true that they have started giving out Gigabit plans in Kerala.
They said you just have to make sure the ONT supports Gigabit speeds and check with the operator(LCO) if it's feasible for him to provide Gigabit (Basically his upstream capacity and downstream contention).
