GOI launches Digital Locker service for Documents

Though its a good initiative and will streamline government services, I am more concerned about privacy of the citizens.

As I already said - it s NOT AT ALL secure.

Plus there is no verification if document that I uploaded is really original.

I can photoshop my document (like wrong degree certificate) and if the official "trusts" it, then one can do anything!

so we just upload > e sign and it will be considered verified ?

Faq and resources docs shows a lot of pending work. I wonder who created the guidelines that doesn't mention to use https

It should not have become public without HTTPS.

Whoever approved it - can NEVER really be security expert and should be fired from that job.

lol fertilizers company

great!! the locker proved to be super safe

chrome is not showing any error but firefox is showing unknown issuer error

Well atleast its using HTTPS now. (certificate purchased just week back!! :D)

Earlier it was not even HTTPS.

deposit your money, it would grow like trees.

Its not about money. Its about uploading documents. Mostly identification documents.

chrome is not showing any error but firefox is showing unknown issuer error

n-Code is Indian only issuer. (not recognized internationally)

Chrome uses IE certificate store. Normally people filing MCA/IT returns are forced to install Indian root certificates - without which you can not upload returns.

But Firefox does not use IE certificate store and hence showing error.
