Well I would like to post my experience which is contrary to this thread's title.

Last December when I tried to buy (recharge) a bonus card of worth Rs.61 online from Vodafone's website the transaction was successful but the scheme was never activated on the phone.
I immediately called up the CC and at first they told me that there's some problem going on with the Vodafone online recharge facility & if the scheme is not activated within 5 days then the entire amount would be refunded to my bank account.

But weeks passed & nothing happened. So I called up the CC again & this time he asked me for the transaction ID (which was mailed to me by Vodafone when the transaction was completed).
After checking up on his system, to my horror, he said that the transaction ID is an invalid one!

I instantly realized that Vodafone had simply STOLE the money from me.

Since the amount was small I didn't bother to go to Vodafone's Gallery to complain as I would have incurred more expenses in traveling than the amount which I had lost.

After this incident I simply lost trust on online recharging facility & especially on Vodafone.

Show your bank statement to them

If you got a mail from Vodafone, then all you need to do is forward the mail with the complaint to their helpfine, for sure they will need to respond to it.

I agree with the others that you should not ignore this issue.

You will be having the transaction details in your bank account. Try checking it on your netbanking portal. Shoot a mail to the Nodal officer with details. As other people are saying here, you should not ignore this issue. Why waste 61 bucks. Keep following up with them through e-mail, no need to visit Vodafone gallery as this was done online.
