Even in delhi they arnt confiming it , but i keep on gettin speeds upto 256kbps on my 128kbps line so.....

Mr. love you.... could you plz ask your Airtel guys to improve their customer service and standardise their tariff plans. And why on earth would anyone get a 512 kbps connection with a 1 gb limit? ...beats me! Airtel is doing no great service by providing us "upto" 512 k connections in the year 2005/6...when the rest of the world is into mbps…. we surely expect to be treated better than this.

Airtel folks please update your website promptly and notify us of your future upgrade plans beforehand. That way we are not misled by your own people and keep coming up with false expectations. You are no secret organization to keep your customers in the dark about the upcoming plans. And get over this 1gb mental block. Only then shall we all love you.

Please don’t bother calling their CC ‘cause they never have a clue about anything. I remember calling them up when I was to get a new connection and they kept talking about their old plans…when the new ones were in place.

Am I the only one getting slower download speeds at night? I have a feeling they cap the bandwidth at times when the traffic gets heavy, esp. when night surfers get into downloading act. If it is true then it doesn’t matter whether your getting 512 k connection as you will not experience the speeds you are promised. The users must receive what they pay for. …and nothing less.

- I hope this is not some kind of a prank, ‘cause then there is no reason why we will not be getting an upgrade soon.

where did u get that advert image from ?? and anyways this freedom combo is already mentioned in the excel sheet of airtel plans posted in some other thread ...so its nothing new ...that upgrade has taken place some time ago ....

i have friends located here who get better speeds on 128 lines than i get on my 256 line. looks like you have to be lucky to get great speeds on airtel as well :)

can someone please tell airtel guys to roll out in my area soon? I am waiting for a LONG time... :|

from the "airtel guy came home and gave me some inside info" files:the chap who came said that since the "1-2-ka-4! 4-2-ka-8" i.e. 64-became-128 and 128-became-256 happened very recently, the next doubling would take a few months.hmm... too bad. by this calculation, we will miss 1st jan. and 26th jan. and the only thing between 26th jan and 2nd oct is 15th august. my prediction: the much anticipated speed doubling will be an independence day 2006 gift. ar rahman will compose a special signature tune for the launch.;-)this guy also said some very weird things about the speed bumps i'm mentioned in other posts, so i don't believe him too much...
