Airport Express will be a good choice if you have an
Apple eco-system. It is a good functional piece although expensive compared to some warhorses like
TP-Link.
It attaches to the wall and is compact. Since there are no external antenna, the range can be limited. It supports 802.11n both 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies.
It has an audio out and USB port. It supports an USB
printer. Or you can connect an externally powered speaker to the audio port (low watt USB powered speaker can draw power from the USB outlet) and stream
music wirelessly from an iOS device or from a PC or
Mac via iTunes.
If you have Apple
TV, you can do an Airplay mirroring of your iOS or Mac screen on to your TV.
You can configure using Airport Utility that is native to most Apple products or an additional install on a PC.
Can be used as a hotspot.
There is another post that explains how to setup PPPoE for this
router.
