good speed at 599

I m using 599 unlimited plan at 256 kbps and get a download speed of maximum 32 k Bps with D-Link Router.but my friend with the same plan and having a sterlite router is getting downloading speeds of above 200 k Bps.Plz can someone tell me the reason behind it?Also suggest any method to do so if possible.Thanks

@porelsoumen. You can't get speeds more than 32kbps on your 256Kbps plan. Your friend might be synched to 2mbps speed, hence he is getting it. The Exchange guys must have not corrected his speed.
