Introducing the Album Archive
Today we made the Google Album Archive available to all our users. This new page is an archive for Picasa Web Albums (Picasa Blog: Moving on from Picasa) which previously collected your photo albums across Google services such as:

* Google+ photos from posts
* Google profile photos
* Photos from Blogger
* Photos shared in Hangouts
* Maps panoramas
* and more

On the Album Archive, you can view, download, or delete these albums and photos. As the name implies... this really is an archive (no commenting, editing, adding, etc.) and part of our transition from Picasa. You can access your album archive page from your About Me page on Google: Sign in - Google Accounts

Your Album Archive page includes a 'Photos of You' album which shows any photos you have been tagged in including photos owned by other people. Additionally, you can navigate to other people’s Album Archive pages by tapping on ABOUT on their Google+ profile page (available on Android today and other platforms soon). There you'll see the photos and videos that person has previously shared with you.

As always, please send any ideas/issues using the Send Feedback menu item as that's the best way to ensure we'll see it.

Introducing the Album Archive Today we made the Google Album Archive available…

Hi India Broadband Forum,

You’re receiving this email because you’ve viewed Album Archive recently or you may have some content that is visible in Album Archive. Starting on July 19, 2023, Album Archive will no longer be available. We recommend that you use Google Takeout to download a copy of your Album Archive data before then.

Today, Album Archive lets you view and manage album content from some Google products within Album Archive.

However, some content that’s only available in Album Archive will be deleted starting July 19 including

1. Rare cases like small thumbnail photos and album comments or likes
2. Some Google Hangouts data from Album Archive
3. Background images uploaded in the Gmail theme picker prior to 2018

If you would like to access this data, please make a copy of this data using Google Takeout. After Album Archive is no longer available, you can still use those Google products to view and manage some content directly – learn more.

Thank you,
Your Album Archive team

Didn't get the mail. The takeout archive doesn't even have all the images. Great fucking job Pichai. Also, I had no idea this service existed before. This is the first I am hearing of it. And I was shocked to find the pictures that were in there.
