Custom Kernel cannot be flashed on many devices without unlocking bootloader

^ obviously. Kernal tweaks you flash has to be started on boot to make it work. So depends the hboot too. Since the bootloader is locked. You can't flash kernals. If you don't wanna unlock the bootloader. The best way is to pack the kernals you wanna flash with the custom stock based rom that you would like to flash. That way you don't need an unlocked bootloader ...

recvd a surprise update to 4.3. it was only 1.7 mb and changed the build no.

The best thing I like about 4.3 is the trimming of memory! It makes my Gnex fly again!
