Google Android Marshmallow

Surprising observation in last 2 days for my A1. Yesterday morning I charged my phone. Battery was 100% at 9 AM. Later battery readings were 11 AM - 99%, 2 PM - 97 %, 11 PM - 93 %, Today 8 AM - 91 %. So in 24 hours only 9 % battery was consumed.
Seems like Doze functionality has started working as yesterday my phone was mostly idle, just 1-2 calls and read few sms.

I wonder what may have changed. I updated few apps, and also Cleanmaster disabled few apps, but still I am not sure what has brought this change in battery usage.

My dad's A1 has also started to behave fine. Strange!

I'm hearing that there's a 1.8 MB update rolling out for Android One devices which supposedly fixes the battery issue.

Edit:
Update for Canvas A1 has been captured by someone on XDA. Could be a security update as someone there pointed out. Will flash it on dad's A1 anyway.
Yeah I got it. - Post #5 - XDA Forums

Edit:
Installed it. Build number changes to MRA58N. Android security patch level changes to 1st November 2015. No change in kernel. Will have to observe whether this fixes battery issue.

I did not get any update, though I checked several times this weekend.
I still have Build number: MRA58M, Patch level: 1 October 2015, Kernel version: 3.10.57-g9e1c396.
But battery is behaving better and if phone is not being used for longer duration, battery level seems to stay stable.
