Google Contacts syncing problem on Android

right. google sync is not instant. if you have a large number of contacts. especially if it is going to sync other data as well. especially considering it also syncs changes from google+ databases. on my end it could take as long as 10 minutes to reflect changes made by a contact in his g+ profile.also of course it fetches photos and tons of other data from various sources depending upon what kind of services you have connected to your account.

next time instead of saving data right on your phone, do it online in google contacts. unless of course you are on the move. in that case, do not reset your phone without syncing it properly for a couple of hours.

Recently I also stopped using phone contacts. Migrated everything on Google contacts.Everything worked smooth but I still keep taking manual backups by "Send contacts" option and transfer to my PC using bluetooth.

I can pretty much confirm that most custom ROMs don't interfere with Google sync services.
