and of course... this is for folks who do not know about this option. google photos has/had an option where it would compress original quality images stored on it to free format. might be a good idea to use it before the deadline IF you are ok with optimized quality of the image.

I won't be surprised to see an extension sometime next month. Not that it would change anything. This is a massive policy change on their part. I would certainly miss the ability to search through the photos. Optimized storage was not really a huge incentive on its own.

OneDrive's own image tagging is pretty bad. Amazon is supposedly better not not comparable not that it is an option for Indian users right now.
