I have been using a Google Wi-Fi router with my ACT Fibernet connection since June 2019 and all was well until this Saturday when the light on my router started flashing Orange, indicating no internet connection. Since then, I have restarted/reset my router multiple times but it still fails to connect to the internet. I contacted Google Support, and after verifying conn. status through http://192.168.84.1/api/v1/status. CSR said "You must ask them (ISP) to activate the bridge mode and deactivate the router mode of the modem because you already have a Google router that you want to connect." Now I'm not an expert but I know bridge mode is used when connecting two routers to the same network. I only have 1 wi-fi router at home! Does Google CSR's solution make sense? If so, is it possible for ACT to do that just for my connection - I live in an apartment community with hundreds of other homes having ACT connection and they haven't reported any problems.

Contact ACT customer support. Similar issue happened with me in 2021 when i was using ACT fibernet in bangalore with my TP-Link router. There was something wrong with ACT's backend and their service engineer came home and got it fixed in a couple of hours(involved a anydesk share to their backend team).

Thanks Rajat, I missed to mention that ACT customer support visited my place on Sunday and as expected, he suggested that there is a problem with my Google wi-fi router. To prove his point, he has placed his spare ACT router (TP-Link) at my place and it works fine :). He is recommending me to buy a new TP-link router online. Now I'm stuck between Google and ACT's diagnosis - I don't want to buy a new router without confirming that the hardware has a problem.
