why? you switched from android to ios. Apple already has an app for that.

Got a bit too late in deleting my post, I read it vice versa.

And yes, iOS has an app that helps you with the migration but it doesn't specify that if you skip the step during the setup, you will have to do a factory reset and start the process again. I realized this after I had skipped it.

Google's android to android migration is same I believe. You cannot start it after you setup your phone. You have to do the migration during setup process.

These tools are crucial if one wants to transfer the SMSes and the gallery items. But the major challenge remains migrating WhatsApp. I didn't even try transferring my case, and most of the important data was backed up on Google already.

Android to Android is easy using google cloud backup. Or use any app that does its own backup and restore.

There's no official solution for it, as far as I know. Third party applications work, but they are paid.

This is why it's crucial not to skip the official migration process when the phone's being set up.
