@deltaechov So I used this tunable in OPNsense and there was no disconnection for around 12hrs. then I switched to pfSense and did the same config change but it disconnects like earlier. For now, I am going to use OPNsense because my tickets are escalated and directly assigned to the head of Airtel-Bihar&Jh Broadband and the Airtel team is quite confident now that there is nothing wrong at their end.

My setup is ->
Airtel (on Bridge) and Jio (double NAT) are connected to a TP-Link managed switch which tags both connections with different VLANs. then a single cable comes from there to the upper floor. Here, I have Pfsense/Opnsense on Proxmox VM which uses Airtel-Primary, and Jio-Secondary (on FailOver) connected using my own VLANs.

My question to you is which ONT are you using and are you using any VLAN on Pfsense to connect with static IP?

@imdarkray
My setup is similar.
PFsense is running on proxmox. Promox server is on a laptop that has only gigabit ethernet. The only way to get internet is VLANs:LOL:

Code:
                      BSNL ONT  >--
                                  |
I have dragonpath ONT -->managed switch --VLANs--> laptop(proxmox [pfsense])
                                  |
                                  ----> other devices (not on vlan)

For Pfsense, you can try adjusting 900 (15min to some other value) maybe 600 (10 min)

@deltaechov because of the VLANs, our internet is disconnecting on bridge. I had this setup earlier with no vlan and no multi-wan and it was working perfectly.

@imdarkray
I did not face this issue. And I don't think VLANs are breaking internet on bridge. My setup with VLAN is activate for a long time now.

Maybe try creating another network device on pfsense VM with VLAN and see if that works. Basically, Pfsense won't be aware of your VLANs it'll only see a network device.

@imdarkray can you checkout screenshot I attached in above message and tell me if thats called packet loss or not. Thanks.
