Implement this in wired broadband and they can become developed nation in a month.

"Curb screen addiction" is such a B:poop: reason. I can see the rural sector especially the Farmers getting hit badly then only some revolution will come up. Many will stop recharging like literally for mobile data even in towns and cities

There was this tweet

“ A levy of ₹1 per GB could generate around ₹22,900 crore in revenue, based on FY25 usage.”

But we dont buy data individually anymore? And 349₹ can get us unlimited 5G and if not 5G thats still getting us 1.5gb per day for a month so how exactly would u charge a rupee per gb in that?

1.5x28=42 gb a month?

So like 349₹ plan becomes 349+42=391₹ with no additional benefits ?

Someone correct me please

okay ill put my tinfoil hat for this one. i feel like telecom providers are pushing the govt to mandate this rule so that they can start monetising 5G infra as they used to back in the 4g days by per GB. govt will probably subsidise the telecom providers with this increased cost by offering them lower rates for doing business. even thr agr dues were nullified couple of days back iirc

if we going back to 2000s can we please have 2000s level of democracy as well?
