Root needed. Google Play Store

No more envy for your friends' iPhone which never become slow and battery hungry after lots of apps installed. With Greenify, your Android device can also run almost as smooth and lasting as the first day you have it!
Greenify help you identify and put the bad behaving apps into hibernation when you are not using them, stop them from battery leeching, memory hogging and stealthy running, in an elegant and unique way! They could do nothing without your explicit launch, while still have full functionality when running in foreground. Like what iOS apps act!
NEW App Analyzer will analyze and show apps in your device that keep running persistent services and those launch itself automatically on a regular basis (when network connectivity changes, or every time you unlock your device, install / uninstall / update your apps, etc).
ROOT is required for Greenify to work. If you are still experiencing hibernation issue, this may be caused by your root management app (e.g. "SuperUser"), please try installing "SuperSU" instead.

well i post about apps that are getting attention on social media. best would be to go through comments and make your own decision. i do not have root so i cannot really play with it :)

I have root, and have tried it only for a few hours till now. I did see a little difference in battery life, and the apps which I'd hibernated didn't disturb me. It does work.:)

Well the comments on the Play Store seem positive. Even Kkapoorr seems to be liking it. Will give it a shot. As long as it improves the performance and/or battery life without affecting the usability of the apps I'm up for it.

Add Google+, Google search, talk and specially maps and hibernate them. They cause the most wakelocks than any other apps...oh and Facebook app is the worst I don't even have it installed

I have added Maps. Can't 'greenify' Google+ and Facebook as I wanto to continue receiving notifications from them, same for GTalk too. And Google Search is Google Now. Disabling it would be of no use if you have installed it. It's mighty useful if used properly.

Currently my list includes: (will post the pic from Tapatalk)

Facebook is a champ in causing wakelocks and draining battery better use alternative apps like friendcaster for facebook or fast for facebook
Also I don't use Google now because except showing the weather in notification bar it's no use to me(I can still ask weather or directions by voice search)

Well I do use Friendcaster too but it most times fails to give push notifications for new messages. Facebook app does that perfectly, and that's the only reason I'm not adding it to the greenify list.
