Has anyone tried vodafone 3g on Iphone 4

@Vetri what i would suggest is first you should check your sim on another phone if 3G is working or not. If it's working then probably it's Gevey sim. Check with reseller who sold you that sim.

I have a iPhone 4 locked with AT&T and used a Gevey Turbo sim to Unlock it. I m using Vodafone now in Madras. The problem is that whenever I switch on 3G I don't get a signal at all. Is it something to do with the Gevey sim or do I have to activate 3G to even get a signal ?

I'm using the EDGE network now with a profile loaded via the iPhone configuration Utility.

You will not be able to use 3G services without activating 3G devices and a 3G data plan on your SIM. Pick a 3G plan that suits your needs & activate it. You will be able to access the 3G network and data then.
