Hayai Broadband: How it all began!

I agree that you will work fast as much as you can to establish your network in entire nation but it is not easy to do business in india with honesty. There are lots of complication in cabling which have experienced in my area as well as my area which is very populated and developed in ahmedabad which is old ahmedabad.



I agree with you but hayai network and intention to enter in india is different. There will be no comparison with small company. You can compare hayai with airtel, tata and reliance which are the king of whole nation. Hayai is just on starting phase. Once indians become habitual with hayai speed. It does not matter how much hayai limits their customers' usage.
I am talking with experience. I have experience 7-10mbps speed constantly not with 3g. I am talking about wireless connection at the singapore airport.

I think, Internet is needed more in New Ahmedabad. OLD Ahmedabad don't require that much fast speed.

In mumbai I already saw Fivenet providing 1mbps unlimited at 500 per month :O and they have already crossed 25thousand subscribers as per their notice on their website within this such small period of time :O also have received A class licence :O so are all mumbains shifting to fivenet? 25K user base is a lot for cable isp :iomg:

Well judging by their IP allocations alone, Hathway has I think close to 5 lakh customers (if not more than that), and You Telecom has probably 2 lakh customers, and Sify has about 3 to 3.5 lakh customers.

Trust me u will face disconnection with FIVENET, and i still wonder why would some1 keep unlimited at this much low rates.
I like HATWAY more than any local cables, and also RELIANCE is my first preference, but then bcause of BAD CUSTOMER CARE and STUPID LOGIN PAGE, RELIANCE is my second preference.

I think your experience with various cable ISPs depends a lot on your cablewala.

Good to see you mention Ahmedabad in your post. I would like to bring attention that Ahmedabad is surrounded by Gandhinagar (Cap. of Gujarat), GIFT City (underconstruction) and Dholera SIR (Future CITY). A well developed marketing, could help you to cover all the four big cities of Gujarat.

So I guess I'll be the first. Yes there are lots of complications but generally whoever has the most money wins. If a local cablewala has 1,000 crores handy, what the hell is he doing being a local cablewala?

Singapore Airport's WiFi coverage is pretty good. They even have kiosks where you can plug a cable in. But Singapore's one of those places where bandwidth is cheap and plentiful and infrastructure is open and I guess relatively cheap. And it's coverage area is very limited. The whole of Singapore fits inside one Mumbai.

I think, Internet is needed more in New Ahmedabad. OLD Ahmedabad don't require that much fast speed.

New ahmedabd is very educated and sophisticated. That's why there are no of users like branded show rooms, multiplex, tuition classes etc. in new ahmedabad but buddy, OLD is GOLD. One major bad habit of internet users of old ahmedabad is that they always look for cheap. So, there are no more companies feasible in old ahmedabad.
But now, old ahmedabad is also on fire of development. In old ahmedabad, there are no of hidden call center which is powered by tikona or tata, shopping mall, multiplex are under construction. So, within a short period, it will be like new ahmedabad.
I do not know about new ahmedabad internet market.

Having wireless as the ONLY option is less than ideal. The last-mile Fiber Optic cables are only 3mm thick or so (plus shielding, so let's say about 12-15mm maximum if we put a bunch in), so small streets aren't too much of a concern

For Ahmedabad it's merely proposed coverage area. When the colour changes to Green or Yellow, that's when we have a more accurate picture of where we can/can not provide.

my isp Alliance broadband has managed to gather 38thousand customers that too in 9 years and now have of them have shifted to Wishnet so customer base in lakhs is a dream for them
