HD+ VoLTE on Samsung

Anybody noticed the HD+ tag during calls on your Samsung Devices?
Apparently this only works if both recipients are using Samsung Devices and both user are using Vi.
I haven't tested on any other SIM.
There is definitely better clarity and quality compared to normal calls being it, "HD" or non HD.

google dialer shows HD label in recent calls column iirc... i do not see labels on the samsung dialer recent calls list.

I guess you guys didn't get it.
Icon if you call a non Samsung number but is volte enabled. User is on Vi.

And here, if the receiving recipient does not have volte.

I think it's a samsung specific feature.
It works with same operator (Vi) & same brand phone (Samsung) with both parties.
Pretty cool in my opinion.
But as carriers don't support inter VOLTE calls I highly doubt smartphone brands will support it

What? Inter-VoLTE, at least the standard HD is support between different carriers.

In addition, many carriers and devices can use Enhanced Voice Services (EVS). This is a superwideband (50–14,000 Hz) or fullband (20–20,000 Hz) codec backwards-compatible with AMR-WB.[18] This codec is also known under the trademark HD Voice+, after GSMA's certification program.[19] GSMA has proposed to make EVS mandatory just like AMR-WB.[18] (Both the carrier and the two calling devices must be capable of using the codec for it to be used.)

Fraunhofer IIS has previously demonstrated an implementation of the AAC-ELD codec in VoLTE that they call "Full-HD Voice". It has not gained any standard status or real-world adoption.[20] They have since reused the term "Full-HD Voice" for EVS in fullband mode (HD+ is also used).[18]
