HD+ VoLTE on Samsung

^I have this problem but ONLY with Jio on Samsung phones. Airtel and Vi are fine.

It's a weird combination of DNS settings on router + One UI jank + Your mobile provider + Your ISP at home that causes this issue

@RKhan21 Samsung supports the EVS codec. Jio supports the EVS codec. Then why can't a Samsung phone on the Jio network be able to recognise EVS as a supported codec?

After one ui 7 update, whenever i call Jio to jio on my samsung phone, it shows HD+. In very rare cases, Airtel to Airtel calls are showing HD+ too on my S23U. Even if any Jio number calls my Airtel number, I get HD (inter carrier VoLTE) and calls are noticeably much much clearer

Hi... @Lucifer_King. Please post the models of the pairs of phones involved in each case and their corresponding networks at the time of the call so it's easier to reproduce the said behaviour.

Samsung s23u to moto g45

4G/5G volte or vonr

Jio to jio - always HD+ on samsung. Unsure about motorola as no dedicated indicator is there for codec

Airtel to airtel (in rare cases)

S23u to A56

(In samsung's case, tested in both one ui 7 and one ui 8).

Moto g45 was on the latest update as on sep 2025
