Slow down is done by a web hosting company Cyberbunker after that company is listed as spam in database of spam fighting group Spamhaus.
I am still facing low latency in my MTS Mblaze Net. Looks like Cyberbunker is not in mood to give up yet.
I am copy pasting whole detail :
World Internet facing slowdown after massive cyber attack
If you ever needed to realize how delicate the infrastructure the Internet is built upon - now an incredibly deep and rooted part of our society - this news will scare the bejesus out of you.The world's Internet was brought to its knees yesterday after a quarrel between a spam-fighting group and a Dutch-based web hosting company. Spamhaus, a group that maintains a database of spam servers, was attacked, or so they claim, by Cyberbunker, a web hosting company, after they included the site's server as part of their blocklist. Cyberbunker, who allows users to host anything except child pornography or terrorism-related material, said in a message that Spamhaus was abusing its position, and should not be dictating "what goes and does not go on the Internet."Cyberbunker has not claimed responsibility for the attack."We've been under this cyber-attack for well over a week. But we're up - they haven't been able to knock us down. Our engineers are doing an immense job in keeping it up - this sort of attack would take down pretty much anything else," said Steve Linford, chief executive for Spamhaus, said to BBC.The attack was made using a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS), which sends large amounts of traffic to a targeted server in order to bring it down. This has resulted in the Internet slowing down all over the world, bringing most services to a crawl."These attacks are peaking at 300 gb/s (gigabits per second). Normally when there are attacks against major banks, we're talking about 50 gb/s," Linford put the attack into perspective. The attack's effect is felt all around the globe.
