So they're probably picking up the IP from the main router..via DHCP. You don't need to configure them in that case.

Those "repeaters" don't get an IP.
Edit: TP-Link start advertising itself as gateway & DNS and then it forwards to the router (something something "Smart DHCP"), I don't know why.

I'd like to know which routers/APs these are if you dont mind. I've heard of quick set up and other functions and since I am in the mood to upgrade my AC routers (working in AP mode) I may want to consider this.

Xiaomi Mi WiFi Mini, TP-Link TL-WR850N v3 (useless e-waste unless you upgrade it's RAM and ROM then maybe it's worth something), Digisol (IDK Model or anything else, it's very old, if I touch it it restarts(?) no power plug isn't loose) and a switch.

Ok, thanks. Let me see. Maybe a mesh wifi system will suit my needs this time. Most of the heavy data consumers are on LAN cable while I use this wifi mainly for the phones, laptop and tabs.

Sure. I didn't buy anything new for this setup except Mi WiFi Mini and wires. Works fine since most devices won't ever use roaming anyway. Paying for mesh setups only makes sense you need roaming to work seamlessly.
