[FONT=&quot]I registered online for Home 500C plan BSNL DataOne Broadband on last December in [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.- India's No. 1 Telecommunications Company site[/FONT][FONT=&quot]. After a week I got a call from a guy on Dec 14 night. He came to my home & collected my address & id proof copies, photo and Rs.1000 from me for Landline security deposit (Rs.500) & Modem security deposit (Rs.500 as I demanded for rental modem). He got sign from me in an empty form, stating he will fill them later in office. After a week I got my Landline. On Dec 27 I got my Broadband Connection & Modem.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]But I didn’t get bill till the last pay by date. When I went to the exchange & asked for duplicate bill, I was shocked. Bill Rs. 2019.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]1.[/FONT][FONT=&quot]The reason why I didn’t get bill is - my address was given wrong (by him in the form). :madness:[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]2.[/FONT][FONT=&quot]I asked for Home 500C (new combo plan), but I was given in Home 500 plan and Landline in One India plan (Rs. 500 + Rs. 180). :madness:[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]3.[/FONT][FONT=&quot]I asked for rental modem, but it was put as Modem outright purchase (Rs. 1200). :madness:[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Now all in vain :redface:, No response from customer care. I’m waiting for two more months (Because my minimum hire period is 3 months). Then planned to switch to Airtel. Can i use my BSNL UT300R2U modem for Airtel. Or what can I do.?[/FONT]

first you have to check that ur modam should not be block because of payment issue.

1.BSNL UT300R2u can be used for Airtel.
2. You applied on line, and you get a visitor in the NIGHT from BSNL ? and you pay him Rs 1000 cash !!.Send an email complaint to CC. They have to explain how they gave you a BB connection and new telephone connection, and a modem without getting a single paisa from you.
( Do you have a receipt for Rs 1000/= from the"BSNL" person who came to your house ?)
Go to the Telephone Exchange and meet senior officers. or the Accts officer, and clarify the matter. If the person who got signed some documents, by you ,denies receiving any money from you, nothing can be done.
ONLY for existing Telephone users advance payment is not insisted upon.
3. You can change the tariff plan , preferably from 1st of a month.
4. How many telephone calls you made in Dec 2007 seems all free.
Security Deposit Rs 500/=
One india plan rental Rs 180/=
Modem cost Rs 1200/= ( BSNL may agree to take back , and give credit, if Online application is verified )
Service a tax at @12.5% Total Rs 2019 for december 2007.
How about the tariff plan cost for 15 days Rs 250 ?
How much data is shown as used by you ?
I am not a BSNL employee.
Information to those who got modem on rent : It can be converted to outright purchase,by adjusting /deducting50% of the rental paid so far, from the full cost.

Thanks for ur replies. i tot to change plan to Home500C. But they said it will change only after 3 months (min hire period). So i planned to leave it as it is.Then after 3 months i have planned to change to Airtel.
