im using Syrotech , but it struggle a lot ,so i decided to buy a router which support openwrt ( Asus rx53u )
since i already know that openwrt will be confusing , so i took help of my pi 5 ( i cant use pi 5 for openwrt ,its need for other works )
so innetwork> interface ,i got wan profile with some mac address, then i go to device tab to customise mac address ,but on saving restarting ,its not reflecting on wan interface ,why ?
on taking help with ai ,it says that pi 5 lacks wan port ,and also some kind of missing scripts which allows to write change directly into kernal
and it says ,this will not happen on openwrt running on router
i just wanted to test , and with some one help ,if all goes smooth ,then i will purchase pi 4 just for that ,and use router for wifi only , no budget router can match pi performance because of powerful cpu
also do i need vlan tagging ? do i need to create anohter device like eth0.300 ?
i will get asus router before the end of this month
