Dear All,I wish to know whether Huawei make SmartAX MT841 model router can be used for a Toshiba make laptop with a Windows Vista Home OS.If so,please inform how to configure the same step-by-step.At this moment,I have a desktop and a SmartAX MT882 modem working fine with my Window XP OS.Thanks in advance.Jitu Shah

@jitushahWelcome to broadbandforum.coBoth Modems are identical/similar.You can use same settings what is shown in MT882.Or you can use MT882 for both.Change the Lan Rj45 cable from modem to laptop 1 or laptop2. Only one laptop can work now at a time.for same telephone/same user. If you have wireless LAn cards in the laptopyou have to buy a wif router such as Netgear WGR614 .

Dear All,Thank you for your responses.I have tried to follow the instructions as well as the links and tried furthet but nosuccess.Due to the Windows Vista Home Premium OS,and my lack of required knowledge,I find few things difficult to do.I wish to know that a plug-in 2.4 GHz Huawei Wieless Adapter's Lights should glow?If this adapter is bad,where it could be available.Some one has referred about a Netgear -WGR 614-where to get it and is that a wireless router?Thanks again.Jitu
