Help regarding Bridge mode in BSNL FTTH DBC ONT

Hey guys, I have a DBC ONT (HGU-V210-4AC) combo unit.
I have a TP-Link AX10 router that I want to pair it with but every time I try enabling bridge mode, internet disconnects and it kicks me from the dbc gateway page. None of the lan ports work either and I have to manually reset the dbc router and start over.

Any advice? I tried contacting BSNL technician, he came and said he doesnt know how to do it.

That is how its supposed to work. You enable bridge mode, set vlan and then connect (via pppoe username/pass) using other router/device you want to use. For LAN ports, I think you will have to bind them to the bridge mode profile.

@Adithyavoid You need to contact the LCO for a mac reset and set the ont route as bridge and pppoe configuration in the router. Done

@Sanemi yes, @Adityavoid or you can also clone MAC address of your DBC ONU and use it in your TP-Link router.

@rusalt Mac cloning won’t work.
I tried cloning wan mac,ont mac etc.It won’t connect. So at last I called my LCO to do the mac reset after 1-2 mins internet starts to work.

Did you delete all profiles before creating the bridge profile or did you modify the internet profile?

Issue resolved, Im documenting the steps for future readers:

1. Configure new router set as PPPOE and login with BSNL fibre user/password (Note that router should not be connected to DBC ONT)
2. Login to DBC ONT and enable bridge mode, the technician recommends binding only the LAN ports no other settings need to be changed.
3. Connect DBC ONT to new router and inform technician, he will reset the mac and internet is resumed after 5-10 minutes.

@!!..PD..!! No LCO said it wasn't necessary, I just modified existing internet profile
I also asked about MAC cloning and he said it wouldn't work

@Adityavoid I hope you are an old user because the MAC address for new users is being restricted to the TEC certified ONTs. Sooner or Later same thing will happen to the old users.
Thus, copying mac from a TEC certified ONT will be better in the long term.

MAC reset will lead to registering the TP-Link Router MAC address on BSNL servers and when MAC filtering gets enabled for old users it will result in BSNL sending you an sms of unauthorised ONT being used.

@Sanemi mac cloning works for me, maybe it differs from LCO to LCO and or their setup/equipment.
