Just wondering how a a cheap SMPS matters :huh: as it only supllies power

thats the exact reason it is the most important component of a pc. many people neglect this fact.

using a cheapo PSU for high-end or even mid-end configs would screw those components.

heh. i remember the frequent trips i made to my hardware guy dealing with PC stability... i ended up getting a laptop to get rid of the hassles. i should have known that the cheap SMPS was simply unable to handle 3 hard drives i had put into that machine

and power is the only raw material your PC requires. right?

a cheap SMPS can lead to hardware damage.

it would not support the high end components which draw more electricity.

try connecting a powerful processor with 3 hard disks along with a new generation graphic card to a 500 rupee smps... you would know what i am talking about here.
