Help: VI says Aadhaar mandatory for new prepaid sim

@Chip and others:

We are well aware of Aadhaar number based fraud, logic aside we don't know how through which unknown loophole the thieves are stealing money, or uploading your info in dark web.

So I personally in Hotels/banks/telco/kyc anywhere avoid Aadhaar at all times unless truly mandatory. They can't compromise if they don't have the info.

Ps. Turn off AePS in your bank (unless you're using it) for added safety.
 
@curiousX I'd rather they take a passport photocopy. It is one of the 3 documents accepted by Jio the other 2 being the Voter ID and Aadhar as PoI/PoA. They dont have any other list of acceptable documents like VI do.

I am more careful about giving a PAN card photocopy than Aadhar. Aadhar biometric authentication is locked.
