hello all,I'm using the Bsnl 500 plan with utstarcoms ut300r2u as my ADSL modem. Off late it has been giving me lot of problems and i wish to get a new modem, can you guys suggest me a good ADSL modem which is feature rich like DMZ and support for DDNS e.t.c. My budget is around 2.5k. Linksys or Dlinks would be preferred. Thanks to all!

Have you purchased it outright ?If not ,Go for a Type IV modem/wifi routersuch as sl2-141 or wa3002-g4 or ZXDSL 531or DNa211-I on rental basis from BSNL> Outright purchase Rs 1600/= not recommended now. Do you intend to host a web site from your computer ? DDNS option. Do you need under NAT Virtualserver/portforwarding/portTriggering/DMZ etcfor torrents etc ?Are you connecting to Internet using a Dialer Now ?

yes i wish to host a web server and i dont want to go for a bsnl wifi modem,id like to purchase one separately:)

Sorry. will try to salvage.

1.Why did you rush ?
I thought you will prefer the command option.
If unsuccessful, might not have taken place.

Use the reset button at the back and try again to access modem.
2.
Start network LAN properties
TCP/IP properties
enter 192.168.1.10
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1
dns auto Apply save.
try again
3.
try above tool.
It upgrades from Command.

2.What is the image file you flashed ? . Give details.
