A friend recently ended up damaging his Samsung Galaxy S3 during a trip to Goa. He is currently using a crappy Duos smartphone from the same company. He asked me for a recommendation for a good Android smartphone. He asked if Nexus 5 is still a device to go for. I was not so sure. I asked him to check out Sony Xperia Z2. He looked interest. Just curious if there are better options out there? I mean I understand that Xiaomi Mi 3 might be a much better deal on paper… But this guy needs a premium smartphone that can handle some abuse which is why I suggested a water and dust resistant device to him.

sucks :speechless: my main interest in waterproof. i really hate carrying my nexus out on bike these days because you can never tell when it would start raining. and since he lost his s3 to water damage, he appears to be interested in getting a water proof device this time around. in fact my plan for my next purchase is the same though i doubt nexus/silver would ever have this feature
