High Ping since a week

it has been 7ms to jabalpur to bhopals airtel office since last 4 years, 1 week ago it changed it 44ms after many complains they did some changes which increased it to 70ms then i requested disconnection and then they changed something and it went down to 35ms ..today am getting 25ms lets see what happens next

raghav_xd mine is still same, 60ms on google dns and 25ms in Bhopal instead of 6-7.​

in CS also its 50-70ms. Getting annoying now :mad:

routing in lucknow is also messed up as well as delhi's gateway.
 
@Nefarious i dont understand whats going on with airtel, my home is less than 500m from the broadband office and my shop is 2km away and on that broadband the ping is still 6ms... this problem is not on all airtel connections only some...
 
@raghav_xd do you have static IP on the connection having ping issue?
Actually, 2 kilometers is quite much enough for airtel to use different OLT. Airtel and Jio use different OLT site for different locations. This problem seems to be on the OLT. Also airtel office does not matter how close or far it is, only thing matters is distance from OLT(Tower site) serving you.
 
most probably the BRAS server for one of your connection is located in different city or state, that is why it is having this issue.
 
@raghav_xd same here office where airtel fiber served (told by service man) is less then 500 m from my house and ping on speedtest is always at 7ms ping , when I installed it on 2021 first one from my colony it was literally 1-2 ms ping every time.
Rx is -20.14 dBm so not a signal issue rather than on there slow router issue some kind of firewall maybe.
