I just called the Airtel CC...and as expected...the dumb A$$ did not have any knowledge about this change and was not willing to listen either....he agreed that home 999 was a broadband plan but kept saying that if u want 1:1 ratio...u need to change the plan to UL 999....saale rattu totey...probably their trainer didnt teach them how 2 handle situations which were not in the textbook... :hysterical:Anyways...they dont have knowledge of this and my home 999 still has 1:2 ratio :madness:

Its still early days for the news to go down to the bottom. For now try to check your connection speeds. If below 256kbps then ask for escalations group from CCreps.:)

Nope No free calls. This is the oldest UL plan that airtel came out with.its started with 64kbpsthen they doubled it to 128kbps...and then to 256kbps.But they always mentained the upto term for speed. But now looks like we got what we pay for.:)

@ Mac, what speeds do you get now after 11 PM? I moved from Home 999 to 1499 plan, will I still get double speeds after 11 PM if I go back to home 999?

i get constant speeds of about 380kbps 24 by 7and no you cant go back to home 999 the plan is no longer available other than for people already subscribed.:)
