Horrible 2G speed on airtel

I am always using 3G but i thought to give a try to 2G and recharged Rs. 48 300mb and look at the horrible speed test



Is this normal?

BTW my cousin gets 40-50kB/s download speed on bsnl 2G

This is normal on 2G! Worst is 2kB/s that I have experienced on my handset

What are they thinking? Are we in floppy disk era?

AFAIK, Airtel throttles people who are using 2G plans on 3G to 80 kbps. Sometimes, it stays even when you have exhausted the plan.

@sahib please switch from 3g mode to gsm /2g mode u will get the correct speedthough unload speed is great 350kb.its more like a 2mbps line
