How are you guys planning on using your Hayai connections?

In simpler words, I guess I'm wrong in expecting Hayai to replace my seedbox. :)

Not necessarily. If you seed that torrent on our network, then other customers can potentially pick it up off of you, which generally helps reduce load on the International pipes - and wouldn't affect your FUP/quota (but would affect your ratio positively). Better still if you seeded the same on our torrent tracker.

Besides; your actual consumption works out to be only about 250-300GB anyway - do you get through all of that in a month? If so, what would happen if that volume were to double? Could you realistically handle it then?

Maybe that was an overstatement on my part. I get down anywhere between 50 and 70 gigs onto my home computer in a month...and of course, I don't manage to see/use all of it. I see some of it, and usually delete right away. Some stuff that's worth it stays. But again, like I said, I don't care for most of what I've downloaded in said month as it was done with the express purpose of creating buffer. I can get the stuff I really want/need anytime in the future.

But yes, I agree with you and manu1991....there comes a point when you've made so much buffer on every possible torrent site, you don't need to do this anymore.

Buy a data plan instead. As mentioned above, it's not priced very differently to the flat-rate plans (all things considered). Or perhaps even move over to a small business plan. Or wait for us to increase the FUP as our volume discounts come in to effect or if all else fails, ask us really nicely if you can use say 1TB a month instead ;)

That last part is really promising :)

You might be best off keeping a seedbox for creating the buffer and using Hayai in a more responsible manner, which, really, is all our FUP amounts to (the numbers are there more because people were asking for numbers/approximations of what this might be, which is a reasonable request IMO)

Yup, but that's presuming the torrents I'm seeding generate interest inside Hayai. I wouldn't bet on it, but then, maybe I'm completely wrong. Anyway, this is a minor thing.

What's really got me kicked is the way you respond to our rants, some reasonable and some not so. I think if every big-time businessman in India were as keyed in and involved as you, we could really change this country. And how.

What can I say? We can only hope that Hayai generates the kind of change we've been on about :)

This is exactly what I was thinking of too. The seedbox is only going to be useful till I have enough buffer on all the trackers I'm into, then I can comfortably make do with with Hayai till such time when said buffers might need a little more pushing.

Nothing new except using HZ with DC++ hub... rest all of my INternet usage and habit will remain same... But Yes I am going to save at least 1000bucks per month :-)

I would stop running here and there, waiting for my stuff to load.I would, mmm experience peace of mind that friggin matters to me like HELL.

I would probably use a bit more .. cos nowadays I do not watch long videos as no patience for it to buffer & then play :D
