How do I use a TP-Link router as access point?

What's up folks? So, lately I was thinking of using a TP-Link router as an access point connected to my JioFiber router using an ethernet cable in my bedroom. I chose the TP-Link Archer C6 as the router for my access point. But I never really thought of what I would have to configure in the JioCentrum thingy to make it an access point . Soo, help would be appreciated. Also, does using an access point increase ping or something?
(For those who are thinking about why I did not search for articles related to this, for some reason I couldn't really find any relevant articles.)

Bro, nothing needs to change in Jio HGW.
Just change the operating mode of the TP-Link to Access Point, connect its WAN port to any LAN port on Jio HGW and you should be golden.

Yes, that's it!
That youtuber was probably using the method wherein we convert our secondary router into a repeater by disabling DHCP on it and then using a LAN-LAN connection between primary and secondary.

WAN to LAN connection is not used in the method described above since it results in a Double NAT situation, which isn't ideal.
