How long do we get incoming on Jio after validity expires

my brother haven't recharge for over a year his jio sim which is under my name and many times he gets call from jio about recharge and his answer remain ame, call my brother since number is in his name and still incoming is working fine.

I have another kinda VIP number from JIO since 2015/2016 and hardly recharge that number and still works. Last recharge i guess in September 2024, and most of time number is switched and still works. lol
Though My JIO app says,
Please Recharge your number before it gets disconnected.
 
I use only my primary sim. The second just has a few things of a family member linked & hence needed to support that.
 
I was thinking about using data only plan as I use one of my SIMs only for incoming SMSes like OTPs. Do the data only plans have incoming SMSes?
