We are relocating to a different house in the same city, I wanted to move the JioFiber connection from the current place to the new one. When I called the local contact from Jio (may be LCO! I don't know whether Jio has LCO concept or they are direct employees), he told me that relocation requests will take nearly 10-15 days.
Just wanted to know, if anyone in this community has experience relocating the JioFiber?

Put 200 rs in his pocket and say I insist, your connection will be shifted next day.
My friend got his jio fiber shifted, I already told the how to shift quickly procedure.

@nishantt6969 well, I can try that. But this guy completely disagreeing with the same day or next day shift. Instead, he gave me a workaround, to cancel the existing connection and buying a new connection in the new location.
The benefit I'm promised are
  • One month free trial again
  • He will get me the 2nd month also free with some referral (I don't know the details on how)
  • 1.5K INR refund for closing the existing connection (out of 2.5K I paid initially)
What I will lose:
  • This month recharge of 1178.82 INR in the existing connection
  • 1K INR from the security deposit of the existing connection
  • 2.5K for new connection
I'm not sure if this is his/Jio's strategy to sell another connection.

Typical jio salesman strategy of opening new accounts.
New account means new commission. Moving old connection generates no benefit to them

Register shifting request with customer care instead of local guy.
Do note down the service request no.
Connection can't be shifted without a service request. There is a procedure to be followed.

@igloo yup I'm aware of that. What I want is how many days it will take if I raise a relocation request.
Because if it takes more than 2-3 days then I'll go with the local guy suggestion of disconnection and getting new. That's just because of dependency on internet for WFH and Online classes for kids in our home.
I tried to find out the days required for this, but the information is nowhere available in Jio FAQ and support pages. I also tried to reach to customer care executive, but always it's just the bot answering our questions.
