How to change from pppoe to bridge mode ?Please tell in detail

What is the modem model ?Open your modem's page . Go to WAN page. Select "Bridged"Save and reboot .Dial from computer ( Start/Network/wanminiport) enter user name and ID .

Thanks for the help essbebeThis bridge mode is really nice , getting noticably better surfing speed When I searched about bridge mode on IBF , I found many members talking about firewall settings to optimise using bridge mode ?Any suggestions or comments on that

In "Bridged" mode all ports are open. To prevent trojans/malware/spyware etcentering without your knowledge, a firewall program ( windows built in ) like Zone Alarm etc is used. . Every time a website tries to access your computer you get a menu to permit or deny access. FW settings will not increase download speed.
