@Craft123 mine has been unlocked for 3years now, no issues yet, you can't brick it unless you "do not" follow the steps as instructed.

@kadxprime will have to see what you're doing wrong.

@tr1k0N4 export your config, decrypt it, edit it, encrypt it, then upload it, connect to ONT using SSH and change one setting and reset ONT.
you don't even need python or anything. All you need it a PC with notepad. That's it. Done
