If you have paid rent for 4 years the new modem should have been given free to you.
Or if you purchased it at the outset, replacement by BSNL was helpful.
Since you are already in "AlwaysOn " PPPoE/PPP mode your Id is entered without @dataone.in in WAN page.
In IE type 192.168.1.1/main.html or /home.html to get Advanced options like NAT/virtual servers etc.
see Post No 15: for user manual Engineering and Innovative Products - Siemens Schweiz AG

Yeah paid the rent :) to avoid any problem later as if modem gets faulty i have to buy from out side, and in problem BSNL blames the Modem, and if I ask BSNL to give another modem, they say no modem available..

safe option is to pay the rent as with this everything is their responsibility :D

I am still exploring the option but i guess this would do the job... :D

In FAQ BSNL No45 says, the rent paid 50% will be deducted from the purchase cost of the modem you rented. Now Your SL141 (replacement) should qualify for this concession, and you need not pay any rent every month !!! say you want to buy it !
say Rs 60 /per month for 4 years Rs 2880 /2 = Rs 1440 rebate !!!!

uPDATE : BAD LUCK :
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.
I am on Monthly Rental Scheme for the Modem and decide to opt for outright purchase of modem, what amount shall be charged from me?
Option 1: If you want to continue with the existing modem, 50% of the amount already paid as monthly rentals can be adjusted in the Sale Price of modem.
Option 2: If you want a new modem, Full amount will be charged as per Prevailing Price for the new Modem and the Old Modem is to be returned in working condition.

Infact there is a good news for me as I just digg up the bills and Docs, i see the Type-2 modem is rent free for my plan

Just 2 months ago I have shifted to the plan to Business 15000 :D and BSNL dudes were kind enough to replace my old faulty Type-4 with a new Type-4 and in this bill I see they are not charging the modem rental any more :P
